An antique gold replica of the Temple doorknob on a tie bar.

There is beautiful detail in this fine pin. The Art is from the doorknob of the Salt Lake Temple. Fine quality. It is made of Copper and then antique gold plated.

This pin measures about 1/2 inch in diameter. This pin has a deluxe clasp on the back not the cheap kind. Photo does not do it justice. A great addition to any LDS collection. On the top of the Knob are the words Holiness to the Lord and a beehive the symbol of Utah and of Industry that the early Mormons so showed in the building of the Salt Lake Temple. Throughout history, bees and the beehives have served as important symbols to many peoples. In ancient Egypt, bees portrayed royalty and the power of resurrection. During the second century, the early Christian church was identified by a beehive. In Mormonism, beehives and bees were inspired by the Book of Mormon word Deseret, which means “honeybee” Bronze beehive medallions are featured on the upper panels of the exterior doors of the Salt lake Temple. The beehive is also prominent on the temple doorknobs. Partially encircling each hive are the words “Holiness to the Lord,” testifying to the sacred nature of the temple. Below the beehive is a scallop shell. Seashells, originating in water, are symbolic of life. Scallop shells once symbolized early Christians on pilgrimage to holy places.

Great reminder of your wedding day in the past or future, or makes a great gift for new members seeking the temple.
